Abstract

Laser-induced fluorescence intensities and quenching are used to probe collisional relaxation of UF6. Buffer gases used are rare gases, N2, O2, CO2, N2O, SO2, SiF4 and SF6. Energy transfer associated with anisotropic interactions is important in determining the UF6 fluorescence quenching. © 1988.
