Abstract

Interfacial pressure vs organic concentration curves have been obtained for the following systems: • -trilaurylamine-toluene-1N NaCl-water; • -trilaurylammonium chloride-toluene-1N HCl-water; • -trilaurylammonium nitrate-o-xylene-4N HNO3-water. The results have allowed to evaluate: • -the bulk organic concentration where saturation of the interface takes place; • -the cross sectional area of the molecules at the interface; • -the bulk organic concentration where formation of aggregates starts to take place. © 1978.
