Abstract

The production of ethylene by ionising radiation induced effect in a living organism is described. The photoacoustic detection of ethylene traces and the experimental set-up are illustrated. Experimental results on the photoacoustic measurement of ethylene released in the breath by mice exposed to X-ray beam are reported.
