Two new replacement names are proposed for the amphipod genera Davidia and Reinhardia, both described in 2011. These genera are junior homonyms of earlier-established taxa in Bivalvia and Lepidoptera, respectively. The new names, Davicookia nom. nov. and Reinhardiana nom. nov., retain the original etymological dedication and resolve the nomenclatural conflict in accordance with the ICZN. Although we described the genus Reinhardia in 2011 within the family Austroniphargidae, it was subsequently placed in the family Dussartiellidae described by Lowry and Myers in 2012.
