The STORM project is established as a provider of services on the field of industrial symbiosis in the framework of a common language, methodologies and databases. The STORM toolbox will contain state-of-the art tools, software, databases, methodologies and expertise, which the partners bring into the project and will develop further. A tool owned by partners should be shared, integrated and linked one to the others, when possible. Highly qualified expertise - knowledge and tools - is needed to help the participating companies advance towards higher levels in the waste hierarchy. Sharing these resources among participants from different Member States and tailoring them to each partner's needs is one of the unique features of STORM that is expected to bring about a better understanding of cross-country cooperation for industrial symbiosis and local particularities. The "STORM toolbox" may be made available to other industrial symbiosis projects under a low-cost licencing agreement after adaptation and demonstration in the project.
