Education: Degree in Geological Sciences, University of Firenze (Italy), 1994 - visiting scientist at the Departamento de Geologia, Universidade Federal do Paranà (Brasil), 1997 - PhD in Earth Sciences, University of Siena (Italy), 1998.
She is a scientific researcher since 1995 concerning remote sensing, geographical information systems, engineering geology and geomorphology. She was employed at the FAO as special service agreement and worked as temporary staff at the engineering geology group of the University of Firenze carrying out researcher on landslides, risk analysis and geohazard assessment. She participated to several national and international projects for environmental assessment, monitoring and disaster prevention. Since 2010 she got a permanent position as researcher in ENEA: current activities rely on the geographical information systems applications for atmospheric data assimilation into thematic maps, investigations on natural and anthropogenic emissions sources, development of procedures for environmental risk assessment and management according to international policies and legislation. She is author of more than 20 peer-review publications (national and international), 23 papers in conference proceedings, 6 monographs and 23 technical/scientific reports.
